We are members of the NAEA Propertymark network, as well as the Property Ombudsman, which both offer extra protection for our client.



Propertymark launched in February 2017 combining ARLA, NAEA, NAVA, ICBA, APIP and NFoPP Awarding Body into a single brand in order to achieve a greater consumer awareness. We aim to reassure all of those buying and selling property that estate agents who display the Propertymark Protected logo offer better protection for their clients: Client Money Protection, Professional Indemnity insurance, membership of an independent redress scheme. Members are also subject to Propertymark Conduct and Membership Rules and disciplinary procedures with sanctions for those who fall below the expected standards. Anyone using an agent displaying the Propertymark Protected logo will be confident that their agent is guiding them on their property journey.

The Property Ombudsman

The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service since 1990. The Ombudsman’s resolutions are designed to achieve a full and final settlement of the dispute and all claims made by either party. The Ombudsman can, where appropriate, make compensatory awards in individual cases up to a maximum of £25,000 for actual and quantifiable loss and/or for aggravation, distress and/or inconvenience caused by the actions of an agent. The TPO Board charges scheme members an annual subscription however, it is the independent Council to whom the Ombudsman reports, the majority of which is made up of members. TPO is a government approved scheme to provide independent redress in relation to disputes between consumers and property agents. The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service for 27 years and provides consumers with a free, impartial and independent alternative dispute resolution service.
