So good it has it's own island
Swale is the dynamic hub of the maritime region of North Kent. It’s well located with easy access to both M20 and M2 motorways and is approximately one hour away from the ferry ports of Dover, Ramsgate and Folkstone, and the Channel Tunnel terminus at Folkstone.
Swale has many picturesque villages nestling in the green belt conservation area which surrounds this delightful part of the garden of England. The Saxon Shoreline walk is one of the finest in the country.
It enjoys many of the characteristics of Medway in terms of education, employment and leisure facilities. New housing is being built at quite a rate to accommodate the expanding work force. You can also indulge in a range of annual events, including the Sittingbourne Spectacular and the Faversham Hop Festival which both provide entertainment for all the family.
In addition, the Swale Festival in July includes a variety of events and activities throughout the region. You can ride steam railways and enjoy a whole host of pubs and restaurants. Swale really does have something for everyone.
